Food courts in Metro Vancouver are seeing some massive changes, and ICafe Express is the latest one.
Our Noms Mag community member (@yellywyw) gave us the tip of the return of iCafe, the beloved Hong Kong-style café, now operating as a food stall in City Square Shopping Centre’s food court.
If the name sounds familiar, it’s because iCafe used to sit proudly on the corner of West Broadway and Heather Street.
Operating since 2008, this longtime spot served up classic Hong Kong comfort food before shutting its doors in 2023.
But now, they’re back—and locals couldn’t be happier.
Soft opening on January 25th, iCafe Express is operated by the same owners, so fans of the original can expect the same comforting tastes they remember.
And the menu? It’s stacked with a lot of options.
iCafe Express offers all the Hong Kong-style café classics you’d hope for.
From hearty baked meals like Black Pepper Pork Chop Spaghetti to grill meals featuring Pan-Fried Chicken Steak or Baked Pork Chop with cheese.
They even have breakfast deals like the Big Breakfast Combo, where you can mix and match bacon, sausage, or eggs with your choice of noodles or rice.
If you’re craving noodles, the Soup Noodle Combos are worth a try, with options like Fish Balls with Fish Paste or Singapore Laksa.
Or go for a classic Curry Meal—Curry Chicken with Rice or Spaghetti never fails.
For a quick, nostalgic bite of Hong Kong, ICafe Express has you covered.
The stall is open daily from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, making it perfect for a mid-morning breakfast or a decent lunch option.
