The local food scene in Vancouver continues to face challenges as the poor economy wrecks havoc on food businesses.
This is sadly leading to high turnover and the closure of longstanding beloved spots around the city.
One such establishment that may be feeling the pressure is Firecrust Pizza, which has recently listed its flagship Davie location for sale.
Since its opening in 2016, the Davie Street location has served as the Vancouver flagship for the Dallas-based brand.
Known for its authentic Neapolitan pizzas, Firecrust separated itself from other similar food joints by focusing on build-your-own pizza and salad.
They did all of this using high-quality ingredients such as non-GMO 00 flour for pizza bases and authentic Italian tomato sauce.
With the capability to customize pizzas and salads from over 350 possible combinations for a fixed price, Firecrust offers both variety and value.
The pizzas are swiftly baked in an 800-degree gas oven for just 90 seconds, ensuring a perfect crisp with every order.
Aside from pizza and salad, they also have a variety of pastas and super-filled milkshakes.
We recently spotted the Davie outpost on a restaurant brokerage site, listed at $500,000 and with 2 years left on its lease.
Note: The observation of a commercial listing does not inherently imply the closure of a business. It is possible that the establishment is undergoing a change in ownership or maybe in the process of relocating. The purpose of reporting on such listings is to provide insight into the dynamic nature of the local food industry and its evolving landscape.
