One thing that Vancouverites can’t get enough of? Sushi.
A new sushi restaurant has now grand opened in South Granville.
Say hello to Sushi Umi.
Taking over the space previously occupied by Imposteri Trattoria, which closed its doors earlier this summer, Sushi Umi officially opened earlier this week.
This isn’t Sushi Umi’s first rodeo.
The South Granville location marks the second outpost of the Korean-run sushi joint, with the original spot that opened in 2018 in Lonsdale already beloved by locals.
Known for their special rolls, generous portion sizes, and top-notch service, Sushi Umi has quickly become a fan favourite.
Now, South Granville residents can enjoy the same delicious offerings that have made Sushi Umi a hit on the North Shore.
Beyond their signature sushi rolls, Sushi Umi also serves up bentos, tempura, udon, and party trays, all of which are available at the new location.
While much of the interior from Imposteri Trattoria has been kept intact, Sushi Umi brings a simple, casual, and minimal ambiance that’s perfect for a relaxed dining experience.
And to celebrate their grand opening, they’re offering 15% off on all orders until August 31st.
That’s more than enough reason to check them out sooner rather than later.
The South Granville neighborhood has seen its share of closures recently, with several shops shutting down.
But with the arrival of Sushi Umi and Nero Waffle Bar, there’s hope that the area will regain some of its vibrancy.
Don’t forget to share this with your sushi-loving friends!
