Heads up, Tri-Cities food lovers – some major Vancouver players are heading your way!
Get ready for TriCity Pavilion (2968 Christmas Way – near Coquitlam Central), a brand new community-focused spot opening later this spring in Coquitlam.
It’s bringing two huge names for their first-ever Tri-Cities locations: Nemesis Coffee and Gigi’s by Ask for Luigi.
Developed by Marcon and QuadReal Property Group, the 12,000 sq ft Pavilion is basically a living preview of their massive upcoming TriCity Central mixed-use community.
Think of it as a cool, beautifully designed hub meant to bring people together even before the main development breaks ground.
This isn’t Marcon’s first rodeo with this concept – they’ve had successful Pavilions in Port Moody and Surrey already.
Now, let’s get to the tasty bits:
First up, Nemesis TriCity.
After crushing it in with the new Surrey location, Nemesis is bringing its beloved coffee culture east.
Expect their signature awesome coffee, killer pastries from Dope Bakehouse, elevated brunch, and even cocktails (this will be their second spot with a cocktail program!).
The 2,300 sq.ft space will have 50 seats and its own pastry kitchen baking fresh goods all day.
This marks Nemesis’ fifth location.
Then there’s Gigi’s by Ask for Luigi.
Yup, the award-winning Kitchen Table Group (the geniuses behind Ask for Luigi, Di Beppe, etc.) are launching their first-ever concept in the Tri-Cities.
Led by Top Chef Canada winner Chanthy Yen and Head Chef Lloyd Taganahan, Gigi’s promises the same “heart and culinary soul” as its famous sibling.
Think fresh pasta, pizza, Italian wine, and cocktails served up with warm vibes in a relaxed, everyday kind of space.
Both spots have interiors designed to reflect their brands while fitting into the Pavilion’s overall look, which features architecture influenced by renowned landscape architect Paul Sangha – his first time extending his vision into architectural form.
The whole Pavilion aims to be a taste of the “new era of downtown living” planned for the massive TriCity Central project, which will eventually include over 4,000 homes, parks, retail, and office space right near Coquitlam’s main transit hub.
This is a pretty huge deal, bringing top-tier Vancouver food and coffee experiences directly to Coquitlam.
Keep an eye out for opening dates later this spring!
