New Cozy Korean Brunch Cafe Quietly Opens In Burnaby

If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to explore more local cafes, there’s a new spot in Burnaby!

For Rest Cafe, a charming new Korean cafe, has taken over the previous Jodeen Cafe unit (beside Grandma Liu Hot Pot) along Kingsway.

A follower on TikTok (@elfonmichelf) tipped us off about this cozy addition to the Burnaby cafe scene.

They soft opened in early December 2024.

Offering a delicious lineup of brunches, croffles, sandwiches, coffee, and drinks, For Rest Cafe is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet, intimate spot—a refreshing change from the loud and busier Metrotown cafes (ahem La Foret).

Menu highlights include the Smoked Salmon Benny topped with house-made Hollandaise, the Ham and Cheese Omelette, and unique offerings like the Kimchi Bacon Burrito and Banana Nutella Croffle.

On the drink side, the cafe’s menu features a selection of lattes, teas, and specialty drinks like the For Rest Latte, Spanish Latte, and Matcha Latte—perfect for pairing with your brunch or croffle.
