A Luxury Toronto Bakery Boutique Opens at Vancouver’s Oakridge Park

There’s finally a cafe in the new Oakridge Park that isn’t in the food court.

Delysees, the Toronto-born luxury dessert boutique, just opened its standalone space at Oakridge Park in late June.

Velvet rope out front and everything.

The new shop sits right beside the mall’s main entrance, directly across from the upcoming Hello Nori, the hand roll bar chain.

And if the name sounds familiar, it should.

Delysees already runs a cocktail bar in the hallway of the mall, but this is the full boutique treatment.

Walking in feels more like stepping into a jewellery store than a bakery.

Black fluted walls with scattered gold lettering, white marble counters, gold ring chandeliers, and arched shelves stacked with gold gift boxes.

Even the staff are in white shirts and bow ties.

There is a decent amount of seating too, with velvet and brass armchairs under the tall ceilings, and I spotted a proper teapot setup on one of the tables.

The pastry case is the show though, and it is honestly a bit WILD.

Mousse cakes sculpted like whole mangoes, peaches, and raspberries, trays of macarons, and croissants resting under glass cloches.

The case cards read like a fashion lookbook, with La Mangue doing tropical mango with choco vanilla, Hugo going pure roasted pistachio at $12.95, the Elysees layering vanilla, Nutella, and tiramisu at $11.95, and the Lafayette stacking a trio of chocolates at $11.95.

So yes, singles mostly sit in the $12 to $13 range, and those gold gift boxes on the wall are there for a reason.

This is dessert as a luxury purchase, and the fancy fit-out fits the higher-end clientele the new Oakridge pulls in.

The brand comes from Parisian-born founder Fred Naggar, who spent over a decade in fashion before pivoting to modern French pastry.

The wider menu runs macarons, cakes, eclairs, and classic baked goods, plus gluten-free and vegan creations, cocktail pairings, champagne, and French fine teas.

Delysees built its name with luxury boutiques in Toronto and Ottawa, and Oakridge marks its first foray into Western Canada.

Delysees joins other recently opened Vancouver food spots like Celeste Cafe in Gastown, Betsutenjin in the West End, and Moving Coffee Bar in Yaletown.
