If you’re someone who adores beautifully aesthetic cafes, then this new Korean cafe is for you!
One of our community members (@thecafebuzz) recently shared their visit to the newly soft opened Cafe Algan and we had to go check it out as well.
Cafe Algan’s owner and operating manager, Jaime, shared with Noms Magazine that the inspiration for the cafe came from a love for baked goods and coffee.
With years of experience in the food industry, Jaime’s passion for coffee combined perfectly with a family member’s pastry skills to create something truly unique for Vancouver.
Cafe Algan’s location, near Jaime’s partner’s old school, felt like the perfect spot to bring their dream to life.
With a peaceful residential feel mixed with the energy of new and upcoming developments, Cambie Gardens is an ideal setting for this type of cafe.
Walking inside, you’ll find an aesthetic straight out of your TikTok FYP—think earthy, modern decor with clean lines, green-tiled counter, and a pastry case that’s filled with tempting cheesecakes.
The open space, neutral colors, and inviting design are exactly what you’d expect from a trendy Korean cafe.
But it’s not just the interior that radiates the cozy cafe vibes.
The menu is packed with drinks and pastries that complete the picture.
The drink offerings range from an adorable strawberry matcha to a hojicha affogato, along with a silky einspanner and a selection of iced teas—all served in Cafe Algan’s signature branded glasses.
When it comes to food, Cafe Algan has no shortage of treats to try.
The glass counter showcases gorgeous basque cheesecakes, and there’s a lineup of baked goodies to the side featuring everything from biscoff cookies and cereal brownies to matcha croissants and corn cheese egg tarts.
The vibe continues into the seating area—on one side of the cafe is a minimalist design featuring natural wood bench and framed artwork leaning against the wall makes the space feel serene and effortlessly chic.
Soft lighting and understated decor add warmth, making this a perfect spot for a leisurely coffee break.
And it’s not just the coffee or the pastries that are resonating with visitors; Cafe Algan’s bunny logo has sparked curiosity too.
It represents the year the business began, symbolizing growth, family, and the sense of community that Cafe Algan aims to foster.
So if you’re in the mood of sitting in a cute cafe with equally cute food and drink offerings, Cafe Algan is the next spot to hit up.
