In an ever-evolving culinary landscape, the city has witnessed the rise and fall of many dining establishments.
Sadly today we are sharing the closure of another restaurant, Acre Through the Seasons, located within the Versante Hotel in Richmond.
A community member (@antfunni) brought this to our attention a few days ago, spotting that the restaurant announced its closure on its official website.
However, that message was not mirrored on their social media accounts until today.
On April 10th 2024, Acre announced on their official Instagram of the impending shut down.
Acre Through the Seasons, a high-end farm-to-table concept, opened back in April 2023 by taking over the space previously occupied by Oo La Cha.
Sourcing ingredients locally, the restaurant prided itself on utilizing produce from its own lavender farm and greenhouse on Cortes Island, known as Acre Lavande.
Acre Through the Seasons was encapsulated in a multi-course menu that reflected the changing seasons of nature.
Unfortunately, the restaurant’s journey has come to an end, as indicated by a heartfelt closure notice on the Acre website: “With heavy hearts, we announce Acre Through the Seasons will permanently close on April 18th. Final day of service on April 13th. Thank you for your unwavering support and cherished memories. It’s been a joy to share the seasons with you.”
Their recent Instagram post elaborates that it is due to “economic conditions” that the restaurant is shutting down.
Until April 13th, the restaurant is only open with its a la carte menu.
