If you are a fan of that numbing spice sensation, then you’ll like this news!

After Bubble World at Richmond’s Diabetes Plaza closed back in November, after 14+ years of service, we’ve been keeping an eye on who might be taking over.

Well, we finally spotted signs on who is moving in!

After opening 2 locations in Toronto this February, Blooming Spice Fish House is bringing bold Sichuan flavours and a 30 year spice mastery to Richmond.

Their signature dish, Boiling Fish, is a fiery yet perfectly balanced creation, featuring black fish slices bathed in two pounds of sizzling hot oil, locking in tenderness and delivering an explosion of numbing, fragrant, and addictive flavours.

Each pot is crafted with three pounds of Sichuan-sourced chili and peppercorns, ensuring that every bite is as authentic as it gets.

But the spice party doesn’t stop there—other menu standouts include Braised Spicy Tofu with Beef Tendon, Steamed Pork Ribs with Rice Powder, and the Leshan Beef Pot.

If you’re a fan of that signature numbing mala kick, this seems to be the place to be.

Every dish is prepared fresh to order, with a focus on locking in flavour with sizzling oil to create a dish that is both intensely aromatic and deeply satisfying.

And considering that they’ve completely gutted the unit, they’re looking to go all out in the design to get the vibes right.

Blooming Spice Fish House joins a growing lineup of exciting openings at Union Square, including Xin Snacks and Lucky J.
