Signs just went up for a new Cantonese dessert shop on No. 3 Road, and this one is not doing cakes, pastries, or bubble tea.
It is called HE MADE, written in Chinese as 和甜記, and based on the signage and early Red Note posts, it will focus on handcrafted Cantonese tong sui, the traditional category of sweet soups and warm dessert bowls that are a staple of Hong Kong dessert culture.

The new shop is taking over the corner unit at 5951 No. 3 Road in Richmond, at the intersection with Firbridge Way (same building as London Drugs).
That is the same spot that previously housed T+ Patisserie, which itself took over the former Beard Papa’s location before closing.
HE MADE’s Red Note page describes the concept as “Hand Crafted Cantonese Dessert” and includes the Chinese phrase 舊時味道 敬請期待, which translates to “old-time flavours, please look forward to it.”

That tagline suggests the shop is leaning into a nostalgic, traditional Hong Kong dessert shop feel rather than a modern fusion concept.
While no official menu has been released, another teaser post lists several common tong sui ingredients and flavours like red bean, mung bean, black sesame paste, peanut sweet, almond, tofu pudding, and glutinous rice ball.

The Red Note posts indicate an opening window of May 2026, though no exact date has been set.
HE MADE joins other upcoming food spots in Richmond, including Unique Bakery at Union Square, Happy Lamb Hot Pot and Grill, and Ten’ichi Izakaya.
