A bubble tea name that disappeared from Richmond last year is already lining up its return.
Bengong’s Tea is moving into the former Milko Coconut Dessert unit on Westminster Highway, and the new signage is already up.
We spotted fresh Bengong’s Tea decals across the windows, with the phoenix logo and the brand’s concentrate on the origin tagline etched into the glass.

Inside, the space has had a full decor refresh, so this is clearly more than a quick sign swap.
The room looks close to finished, though the chairs were still stacked on the tables when we passed, so it is not open just yet.
For a brand that only left the city last year, the comeback is a fast one.
The return also closes a short gap for the brand in Richmond.

Bengong’s Tea quietly closed its Richmond location at Yaohan Centre in 2025, with And Drinks taking over that unit.
Yaohan Centre had been Bengong’s first home in British Columbia, so the closure stung for regulars who had followed the brand since it landed here.
Now the chain is setting up again a few minutes away, at the Westminster Highway plaza near Richmond Public Market.
Bengong’s Tea is a Chinese tea brand that leans on fresh fruit teas, cheese foam, and handmade pearls.

It built its name on an additive-free, quality-first pitch, pairing traditional tea culture with a modern, design-heavy look.
Founded in China around 2014, Bengongs also has a location in Burnaby and Vancouver.
There is no opening date posted yet for this Richmond return, but a finished-looking buildout and signage on the glass usually means it is close.
Bengong’s Tea joins a busy lineup of Richmond spots on the way, including Roastory Asian BBQ, Lao Lao, and Meeting in Chang’an.
