Richmond just got a new contender in the Chinese BBQ scene, and it’s already making waves.
Yummy BBQ Restaurant has officially soft opened in Central at Garden City Plaza (same plaza as Walmart) bringing another delicious option to the city’s packed roster of Chinese BBQ joints.
A Noms Magazine community member (@fkancold) first spotted the opening on Sunday, January 26th, 2025, and fans of Cantonese-style BBQ now have a fresh spot to check out.
Especially if you like a good opening deal!
Like most similar spots, Yummy BBQ specializes in BBQ meats (chicken or duck) that you can order as half order or whole orders.
And ofcourse it has the popular BBQ on rice with veggies for a simple filling meal.
The restaurant itself is tiny with just some tables for dine in. So expect a line if you are looking to eat in.
And to celebrate their soft opening, Yummy BBQ Restaurant has rolled out some hot opening promos that are hard to ignore.
Right now, they’re offering a great deal on their BBQ on Rice meals:
- $9.95 for any one item on rice
- +$2 for any 2 items on rice
- +$3 for any 3 items on rice
In this economy, it’s tough to see such a deal.
And people know, which is why Yummy BBQ has been seeing long lines out its doors of people looking to get this deal.
According to a conversation from @_eatclyn with the food spot, the deal seems to be running until early to mid-February 2025, making it a great time to try their menu while enjoying some serious savings.
Richmond is already home to some of the best Chinese BBQ spots, with HK BBQ Master and Parker Place BBQ leading the pack.
