Planning a trip to Japan soon?
You might want to start hitting the gym ASAP!
If youโve ever traveled to Japan or watched videos about it, you know one thing for sure: stairs are inevitable.
And in some cases, elevators are nowhere to be found.
@aybaebae._ Lugging luggage
โฌ original sound – aybaebae._
TikTok user @aybaebae._ captured the struggle perfectly with her hilarious video showcasing her “training” for her Japan trip.
The goal?
Getting in shape for the ultimate test of endurance: lugging suitcases up and down endless flights of stairs.
Who needs a personal trainer when youโve got a vacation itinerary that doubles as a fitness challenge?
The beginning of the video shows aybaebae._ on the stairmasters machine with one 45 lb weight on each hand and a backpack, to simulate the same strenuous ordeal with the suitcases.
The internet is eating it up, with comments like user jackrubyโs, โFunctional fitness,โ that had everyone nodding in agreement.
Even Google hopped into the chat with, โOur kind of gym routine.โ It seems like everyoneโs on board with the idea of turning your luggage troubles into your next gym goal.
But of course, not everyone is ready to sweat it out for their travels!
Fortunately, user Anisha Gupta reminded us of a lifesaving alternative: โThey do have luggage transport thatโs super easy and affordable to transfer your luggage between cities, in case :).โ
Because, letโs be honest, while functional fitness is cool, not everyone dreams of stair-mastery in Kyoto.
Whether youโre team #LuggageWorkout or team #HireTheLuggageService, one thingโs for sure: Japanโs charming streets and public transport system will keep you on your toesโliterally.
What do you think? Would you train for your trip or leave the heavy lifting to someone else?
