If you’re a fan of Japanese BBQ, this news is for you!
Gyubee Japanese Grill, a popular all-you-can-eat brand from Ontario, is making its way to British Columbia.
One of our Noms Magazine community members (@antfunni), spotted signage for Gyubee in Richmond, taking over the short-lived DaTang BBQ spot. T
his marks the brand’s first foray into the BC food scene.
Gyubee has made a name for itself in Ontario with now eight locations and another in Montreal.
Although it’s technically a fusion restaurant, Gyubee offers a mix of Japanese and Korean flavours.
Gyubee’s menu stands out as a mixed bag of deliciousness, offering not only BBQ but also sushi, Nagoya-style chicken wings, takoyaki, Korean banchan, Korean lettuce wraps, and an unforgettable crème brûlée.
It’s not purely Japanese BBQ, despite the name, but that hasn’t stopped folks in Ontario from loving it.
Some of our own Noms Magazine community members are thrilled, with one even saying Gyubee is better than Gyukaku.
With all-you-can-eat hot pot being a big hit in Vancouver and Richmond, it seems the arrival of Gyubee and Seattle’s AYCE Korean BBQ suggests that this type of offering isn’t stopping anytime soon.
The new Gyubee location will be in a prime spot along Ackroyd Road, sharing the plaza with the new Big Way Hot Pot and Price Smart.
As of now, there’s no official opening date, but you can bet we’ll keep you updated with any news.
Share this tasty tidbit with your friends and get ready to feast!
