Despite the food industry facing tough times with many establishments closing, new restaurants continue to open as well.

We’ve compiled some of the most recent new restaurants and some that are expected to open within the next three months in Metro Vancouver!

1. Crumbl Cookies (Opening Soon)

Crumbl Cookies, a renowned cookie and dessert brand known for its sizable cookies and iconic pink packaging, is set to open its first British Columbia location in Port Coquitlam.

The Port Coquitlam store, expected to open in early May, is located at the Clock Tower Centre plaza, promising to be a new favorite for cookie lovers and dessert enthusiasts.

2. Car’s Dessert (Relocation)

Richmond’s beloved Car’s Dessert, famous for its traditional Hong Kong desserts, is relocating next to Aberdeen Canada Line Skytrain Station in April 2024.

The dessert stall, which opened in 2021, is moving from Pacific Plaza to a space formerly occupied by MOK Cake, with take-out service and parking available.

3. Haidilao Amazing Brentwood (Opening Soon)

After years of anticipation, the Haidilao Hot Pot outpost at The Amazing Brentwood in Burnaby is finally nearing completion.

With a targeted opening by the end of March, though delays could push it to early to mid-April.

4. KOKORO Tokyo Mazesoba Richmond (Open)

KOKORO Tokyo Mazesoba, known for its Japanese mixed soba dishes, has soft opened its first Richmond outpost at the Ironwood Plaza, adding to its expanding presence in Metro Vancouver.

The new location boasts a 3200 sq.ft space that can seat 100 diners, offering a menu consistent with other locations, including favorites like Niku Mazesoba and a selection of drinks and desserts.

JINMI, known for its Korean raw soy-marinated crab, has moved from online to a downtown Vancouver storefront, blending traditional cuisine with a modern twist and paying homage to Korean history with its decor and staff uniforms.

Opened on March 15th at 854 Denman St, JINMI invites both longtime fans and new explorers of Korean cuisine to experience its unique dining atmosphere.

Hello Kitty Cafe is gearing up to open its very first Canadian outlet in Downtown Vancouver this Spring, with anticipation building despite the delays.

Takenaka, a popular Japanese bento and onigiri brand is set to open a new location in downtown Vancouver’s historic Gastown area, taking over a space formerly occupied by Rodney’s Oyster House.
