Prepare to grab a bowl of heaven! Takenaka is one of those super-amazing food stops no one can resist. If you haven’t tried them before, do it soon and fall deeply in love. Bentos, curries, and bowls full of fresh and flavorful goodness.
Their Bara Chirashi loaded with sushi rice topped with sashimi and tamago is a hot sell, and you will not be disappointed. Another crowd puller is the uni temakis, and you should definitely try their Wagyu Beef Hamburg Curry and Rice.

Another well-known name in Vancouver’s eatery scene is Tacofino. This ever popular spot excels in Californian Baja-style cooking with international influences that delivers great taste and the freshest ingredients. What you get at their truck is funky fusions of Filipino cuisine, between pillowy pandesal that will bring you back for more. If you haven’t tried one of their shameless delights, take our word for it and just go grab some. Shamelessly.
Go for some Fili-Pino Cheeze (Tapa) steak fries, and definitely their Chicken Adobo sandwich and fries, or the Sinigang fries. Both are super popular among regulars. Careful though, their sandwich names will have you in splits.
